A Golden Rule
Removing your makeup is a very basic and important thing before going to bed. The skin needs to breathe overnight and makeup can prevent proper breathing. Leaving your makeup on overnight may clog the pores which may cause blemishes and blackheads. Use olive oil and gently massage your skin with the help of a cotton pad.
Don’t forget that exfoliation is indispensable
Try to exfoliate your skin at least once or twice a week. It removes the layers of dead skin. It makes sure to leave you with a more healthy glow and brighter skin. You can exfoliate your skin by making a paste of walnut powder and yogurt. The antioxidants present in walnuts promote radiant skin and help remove dirt.
Sun and Skin
Don’t skip the sunscreen. You should apply sunscreen cream before going out. Use sunscreen with SPF of 15- 30 SPF that can block both UVA and UVB rays. You have to protect your skin from the sun. Exposure to sun can cause age spots, wrinkles, and other skin problems also.
You are what you eat
keep an eye on what you put on your plate. Eat fresh fruits, vitamins, greens and protein. Get radiant skin with vitamin C and low fats which allow cells to maintain a healthy balance. Avoid spicy salt, citrus fruits and fried foods.
Exercise regularly and Sweat It Out
Jogging and Running will give your body the necessary blood circulation which accelerates the cleansing process of your entire body. After working out you will definitely notice a glow on your face. Exfoliate your skin by using a toner to minimize oil production before going out.
Ideally, you have to sleep at least 8 hours every night. If you don’t get enough sleep then your skin gets tired. Before going to bed, make a habit of washing your face and moisturizing your face after that. You must use moisturizer and avoid hot water as it can excessively dry out the skin.
Water is the Rescue
Do hydrate yourself. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables that have a high water content such as cucumber, watermelon, strawberry, orange and grapefruit.
Don’t ignore rose water.
Rose water helps prevent and reduce eye puffiness. It maintains pH balance and hydrates your skin.
Wash your face with warm water sometimes. Gently massage your face in circular motions. Ensure that the cleanser contains beta hydroxyl acid or alpha hydroxyl acid. Fuller’s earth (multani mitti) works really well.
Do not wash your face too much
Do not use too much tap water because it can remove moisture from your skin. Use a cream, aloevera gel and facial cleanser more often.
Eat more fish
Salmon is an excellent source of protein, which is the building block for perfect skin. Besides, this may be your source of omega-3 fatty acids. Most experts say that the essential fatty acids nourish the skin and keep it young.
Use of Vitamin C
Vitamin C increase collagen production that may help reduce spots and redness. It also protects skin against UVB and UVA damage.
